Allen Jack+Cottier was established in 1952 by John
Allen and Russell C Jack. Today, it is owned and
managed by six directors, all architects and all actively
engaged in the practice. While architecture remains the
firm’s primary focus, it also applies its rigorous design
approach to a broad range of other projects.
Allen Jack+Cottier’s landmark architectural projects
have changed the way people live and work, whilst also
influencing how they think about design. These projects
include town and commercial centres, residential
developments, wineries, health care facilities, schools,
universities, libraries, churches, cinemas, art galleries,
car parks, hotels, spas and sporting venues in Australia
and around the world.
Running deeply through their work is a passion for design
that enriches the human experience. Allen Jack+Cottier
believe that successful buildings should improve
people’s lives and add quality to the communities they
serve. This philosophy incorporates long term interest in
environmental sustainability, conservation and urban
design.
With offices in Sydney, Brisbane, Kuala Lumpur, Beijing
and Shanghai, Allen Jack + Cottier currently employs
100 people, the majority of whom are based in Sydney.
